The table came cautiously packaged and was quick to assemble. They came in two packages and were very heavy to carry up three stories of staircases. Although I wouldn't jump on the tables or sit on them, the set seems fairly sturdy. Just be cautious moving it across a room as the unattached glass panel could jostle.I was comparing this coffee table/end table set with a single coffee table similarly priced from Crate and Barrel that had drawers. This set is by far the better deal due to the additional end tables. My only complaint is that the glass just isn't attachable towards the table itself so as soon as in a while a guest would surprise himself by tipping the glass. (The Crate and Barrel coffee had glass panel that seemed to be unattached and movable too.) So I would not recommend these tables should you have young youngsters that like to climb on furniture. But otherwise this is a wonderful set. The tables appear highly-priced. The stain just isn't excellent on a couple of of the legs, but it's hardly noticeable due to the fact the coloring goes excellent having a dark brown/green/tan Avington Slipper chair I got from Target. I've had them for two months and so far no scratches or odd stains regardless of some heavy coffee/tea drinking and snacking on best of the primary table. The finish tables are nice to set a laptop on. These shipped very rapidly and shipped to my door in a single large box. I believe the packaging might have been just a little better but fortunately the only real damage ended up being to this area and never the tables. They are doing require set up but it is simple. You will have to a couple for that bottom shelf from the coffee table particularly if your a lady. The only real factor is they stick the incorrect legs using the coffee table and when you are not careful you'll place the longer 4 legs of the finish table to some coffee table and that's why I believe many people say the finish tables will vary dimensions. They are not, they simply packed the legs type of funny. Give consideration before set up and make certain the short legs take presctiption your coffee table or it will likely be too high. I believe the standard is nice and it is very sturdy for which I taken care of it. It is a good overall size too. Yes, it isn't marble but you are simply not likely to come on marble for $230 that is things i compensated on purchase with free freight. It is a great accent because of not a lot of money.
